Take your taste buds on a global culinary adventure in Richmond / Wayne County

Authentic south of the border options abound in Wayne County. On Richmond’s east side, Lulu’s Tacos fills corn tortillas with tasty carnitas, birria, pastor, shredded chicken and lengua for a traditional taste of Mexico. Just a little further to the west on Main Street, El Trebol Mexican Market carries all the products you need to cook up a feast at home. Or why not make things easy on yourself by ordering from a menu of ready-to-eat burritos, tortas, tamales and delicious guacamole.

El Bronco maintains two Richmond locations for easy access to Tex-Mex favorites like carne asada, chimichangas, enchiladas and fajitas. Or swing in to El Rodeo on the east side of town for great burritos, arroz con pollo and combination plates washed down with fresh made margaritas. 

Fill up on hearty burritos, tortas, sopes and fresh salsa at La Mexicana, at home in a quirky former muffler shop on Richmond’s northwest side. In the same neck of the woods, Carlos Cuisine Family Restaurant dishes up a diverse selection of tacos, nachos and other Mexican items in addition to sandwiches, pastas, burgers and more.

Travel to the exotic East with fragrant and flavorful curries, samosas, butter chicken, korma, biryani and vindaloo at Gulzar’s Indian Cuisine on the east side of Richmond or at Tiffin Indian and American Food in Cambridge City. And pay a visit to Thai Thara on Chester Boulevard for delicious spring rolls, crab Rangoon, pad Thai and drunken noodles.

Get your sushi fix — along with hibachi fare and build-your-own bento boxes — at Richmond’s Yamato Japanese Steak House and Sushi. Around the corner on Garwood Road, Galo’s Italian Grill plates up mouthwatering antipasti, wood-fired pizzas, pastas, steak, chicken and house specialties to mangia.

Round out your Wayne County dining experiences on a sweet note with delectable Greek-style loukoumades donuts with a variety of toppings and an espresso-based beverage at Café Neo where S.R. 1 crosses I-70 at the Cambridge City exit.
