Update: 4/7/26

The official detour will follow eastbound I-70 to S.R. 227 (Exit 153) and westbound I-70 to Centerville Road (Exit 145).

Crews are rehabilitating the ramps. Concrete patching is planned for the ramps and U.S. 27, and crews will be doing extensive work to connect the ramps to I-70, including work on the acceleration and deceleration lanes.

Construction Speed Limit
The construction zone speed limit remains active on I-70. A reduced speed of 55 mph is in place for the duration of Revive I-70 work. It is important for drivers to slow down and avoid distractions in work zones.

Unofficial Alternate Detour Map

Weekend lane restrictions are scheduled in May on a section of eastbound I-70 to shift traffic and prepare for improvements on the corridor. Pavement is being rehabilitated and bridges are being improved.

Eastbound I-70 is expected to be reduced to one lane between Brick Church Road and Centerville Road the weekends of May 8, May 15, and May 29. The closures are expected to be in place each Friday around 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. the following Monday. There will be no access to State Road 1 to and from I-70 during weekend closures.

Significant back-ups and delays are expected. Drivers are strongly encouraged to plan ahead and use alternate routes when possible.

Washington Road Closure

Washington Road is closed from Kepler Road to Moyer Road. The closure is expected to last through summer 2026. The signed detour utilizes Moyer, Jacksonburg and Kepler roads. The closure will allow crews to rehabilitate the bridge and add a new deck to extend its life.
