At 1:47 pm on April 6, 1968 an explosion tore through Richmond's downtown area killing 41 people and injuring more than 150.

At the time of the explosion there was racial tension nationwide as a result of the recent assassination of Martin Luther King, but in the aftermath of this tragedy we saw strangers and friends come together to assist one another and put their differences aside to help our community heal.
