The Reid Center is once again celebrating lovers of every sort by reprising its fabled Valentine’s Madrigal Feast.The Reid Center’s evening of Renaissance revelry, repast and romance will begin at 6:00 pm on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at the merry hall located on the corner of North 11th and A Streets in Richmond, Indiana.A major fundraising event, the cost of the popular Valentine’s Madrigal Feast is $75 per person. Tickets are available online at https://reidcenter.org/tickets in person at the Old National Road Welcome Center, 5701 National Road East, Richmond, Indiana.A Renaissance Marketplace will open the festivities, where revelers can purchase mementos, gifts, and enjoy complimentary wassail as they leisurely peruse jolly booths. All proceeds from the evening will help ensure the preservation and maintenance of the iconic Reid Center.A trio of guitarists will entertain throughout the evening, including during the three-course medieval-inspired feast, catered by Smiley’s. Also entertaining throughout the celebration will be the IU East Richmond Chorale (Dr. Jessica Raposo, director), performing madrigal songs from the Renaissance era.Revelers are encouraged, but not required, to add to the festivities by donning costumes fashionable during the Elizabethan era.Tickets are limited.
