Richmond, Indiana, is a fabulous place to find fossils of ancient sea creatures that lived 400 million years ago! Koen Arthaud-Day will lead us to the stream that runs through Earlham’s Nature Reserve to look for evidence of life in the Ordovician period (when North America was under a shallow ocean). There, we’ll find and learn about incredible fossils – plus receive tips on nearby places to find more! This event is family-friendly and open to the public. Guests can expect to walk up to two miles in the woods. For optional creek walking, please wear shoes that can get wet. Stay tuned to our social media for rain/weather updates.
