Introducing Richmond/Wayne County Tourism’s Video
If a picture is worth a thousand words then a video is surely worth even more. The Richmond/Wayne County Tourism Bureau partnered with WCTV to produce an inviting three minute video. This video showcases five segments that make Wayne County unique — Distinctive Style, Distinctive Fun, Distinctive Culture, Distinctive Flavor, and Distinctive History.

This new destination video will be used to promote the area as a fun and distinctive getaway as well as showcase a variety of engaging activities a visitor would experience. “With the video, our goal is to highlight the experiences that one could have in our county,” said Nancy Sartain, Wayne County Tourism Bureau Marketing Director. “We want the viewer to know our community offers a great, multi-day experience. We are not just a place to stop for a few hours to enjoy, but rather an overnight or weekend getaway destination.”
Wayne County has a flourishing entrepreneurial spirit which has resulted in an abundance of locally owned businesses that excite visitors who are seeking a personalized, hometown experience. Visitors have found quality amenities in Wayne County and they have become captivated by the passion and enthusiasm of area attractions, local restaurants, and business owners. This vibrant energy continues to bring new visitors to the area which bolsters lodging occupancy and stimulates economic growth in Wayne County. This video brings to life some of the unique experiences found here.
The video will allow the Bureau to target new audiences and strengthen our reach around the world via multiple social media platforms. The video is being broadcast in March when consumers are ready to start planning their spring and summer getaways. The video is posted on Youtube and is viewable on the Bureau’s Facebook, Twitter, and website (www.visitrichmond.org).
