Chocolate Trail
To check out a different kind of trail, beeline to Hayes Arboretum or Cope Environmental Center to learn something about the great outdoors on a nature hike. Guests can also borrow a set of wheels (for free!) from Cycling and Fitness Warehouse at the Cardinal Greenway trailhead to bike through the scenic Whitewater Valley Gorge past Thistlethwaite Falls. Don’t forget to pit-stop and see if you can find a few prehistoric fossils along the way. For some extra adrenaline, hit the mountain biking trails at Hayes Arboretum. Try your hand at disc golf on the free courses at Glen Miller Park & Clear Creek Park in Richmond as well as the course at Creitz Park in Cambridge City. Grab a paddle and enjoy the lake with kayak rentals at Middlefork Reservoir.

On Saturday mornings throughout the summer, Jack Elstro Plaza comes alive with fresh produce, flowers, baked goods and foodie favorites during a weekly seasonal farmers market. Craving something a little more substantial? Local vendors line up here at lunchtime on Food Truck Wednesdays with live music to boot.
Gamers can experience a nostalgic blast from the past by firing up a joystick at Retro Rush and Retro Jakes, two admission-based arcades full of your favorite childhood video console games. Try your skill at axe throwing or put your brain to the test with an escape room!

Roscoe’s Coffee Bar and Tap Room in Richmond’s Historic Depot District offers the best of both worlds, along with a tasty menu of breakfast, lunch and dinner fare. To the west in Centerville, 5 Arch Brewing does away with tipping, and gives each patron a wooden nickel for every beverage ordered that they can drop into a donation box on the way out to benefit worthy local causes.
