Charles House

Charles House
In Glenn Miller Park

Maximum: 40 attendees

The Charles House is located next to the Rose Garden and the National Road entry to the park. The house has beautiful interior colors, patterns, and woodwork, giving it a com-forting and historic feel. It features a fridge, stove top, and sink in the kitchen area, but it lacks an oven. It also has its own parking, driveway, and yard. Included in the rental is access to tables and chairs for guests.

Mac’s Shack

Maximum: 36 atendees

Mac’s Shack has seen recent improvements, making it an even more desirable location for your next event. It’s only a short walk from Roosevelt Hill and is just off the main road. The shack features a newly installed deck and ramp, beautifully manicured flower beds and landscaping, A/C, and a full kitchen — including a fridge, stove, sink, and counterpace. The men’s and women’s restrooms are both located on the exterior of the shack. Mac’s Shack offers tables and chairs for your use. Outside, there are a few picnic tables and a grill. There is also parking, which is great for gatherings.

Springwood Pavilion

Maximum: 150 attendees

With plenty of tables and chairs at your disposal, as well as some built-in seating, the pavilion is great for hosting larger events. The many windows also offer great lighting for the space. The pavilion provides a full kitchen which includes an island for serving, a fridge, a stove, a sink, and counterspace for preparation. It also features ample outdoor space, making it a great option for an indoor/outdoor event

Band Shell

Maximum: 500 attendees

The band shell is the perfect place for large performances and big events. Looking out to Roosevelt Hill, the large stage features unique styling and architecture. People are welcome to gather on the hill or in front of the stage for a closer look. There are men’s and women’s restrooms available in the “backstage” area. Public restrooms are located to the side of the stage and field area

Elstro Plaza

No Max Capacity

Home of the Richmond Farmers Market, Jack Elstro Plaza is a great facility for your outdoor event. With plenty of parking, outdoor seating, and restrooms, logistically it’s an excellent location. But the plaza also features a splash pad to delight children, a spacious recessed lawn for activities, a stage for entertaining, an outdoor ping pong table (bring your own ball), and a checkerboard (bring your own pieces), all of which takes this facility to the next level. Jack Elstro Plaza is centrally located in downtown Richmond and is the perfect space for your next outdoor event.

Starr Gennett

Maximum: 600 attendees

Starr Gennett Building is centrally located in the heart of Richmond, but it has a wonderful secluded feel. Although the building lacks A/C, the many grated windows let in a pleasant breeze and plenty of sunlight. The building has an industrial feel, while also remaining a blank canvas for your desired theme. The attractions are not just inside, however. Starr Gennett Building is surrounded by plentiful outdoor space with benches, picnic tables, a historical sidewalk, ample parking, and more. Perhaps the greatest attribute of the facility is its rich history, which is reflected in its architecture, location, and ambiance.
