The 13th Annual Old Fashioned Christmas Festival and 2nd Annual Festival of Trees are happening once again in Richmond’s Historic Depot District. Each festival takes place on Tuesdays from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. through December 12.
The 13th Annual Old Fashioned Christmas Festival will take place throughout the Depot District. This free event is filled with family-friendly entertainment.
From live reindeer, free face painting, and free balloon art there is something for everyone to take part in! Kids will be able to enjoy train rides; watch elves on stilts; and meet Mr. & Mrs. Claus! Even the Grinch would have fun!
To add to the merriment, the whole family will enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride; have a leisurely luminary walk; and even take part in a family snowball fight.
It is so easy to become immersed with Wayne County’s rich holiday spirit as you walk among twinkling lights and listen to carolers sing.
On the same days and times, the Historic Depot District will be hosting their 2nd annual Festival of Trees event. This event will take place at the Depot Grand Hall at 900 North E St, Richmond, IN.
At this festival, you can soak in the holiday spirit, admire beautifully decorated trees, and support local non-profits.
Raffle tickets will be sold for $1 each. Use these raffle tickets to vote for your favorite tree (decorated by a non-profit listed above). Each ticket equals one dollar donated to the organization. Doing so also enters you into a winning raffle for that tree!
Alongside gorgeous trees, there will also be live music each night to entice the holiday spirit!
The holiday season is a beautiful time to take in Wayne County. With events such as the Old Fashioned Christmas Festival and the Festival of Trees, it is hard not to get excited for the season of giving. Wayne County makes the atmosphere cozy; the mood cheery and bright; and the giving easy.
