A public memorial was built to honor those who served in Vietnam. A POW/MIA memorial from the when the traveling wall memorial came through Wayne County, a stone listing the number of those who died in Vietnam, and a statue of the military rifle and boots are all included surrounded by Indiana stones. Painted by Joe Thompson & Joe Swanson, We strived to create a piano with a feeling of old-time advertising with a connection to Historic Richmond by using Victorian imagery and weaving our own childhood experiences of exploring the Starr-Gennett “ruins” and other historic sites that were once booming industries. The title Chrome Children is borrowed from indie record label Stones Throw.
